FBN Architects are delighted to announce that they have been appointed by Loretto Housing Association to design a mix of Mainstream and Supported housing at the former Paisley South Primary School. The proposals utilise FBNs methodology of achieving affordable low carbon homes which was central to the clients brief. Our proposals are driven by the desire to create a sustainable residential community of distinct character and lasting quality for the people of Paisley. The defining character of the proposal is a new informal green heart which allows the architecture to form a backdrop to this new recreational space. The architectural language combines a contemporary aesthetic nod to local built forms and a response to modern living patterns. The design displays a sensitivity to the use of materials space and colour to complement the primarily green landscape which the the new homes will surround.
