320 new houses and cottage flats for Thenew Housing Association, built on a partnering basis by J B Bennett (Contracts) Ltd., to help turn around a run-down area of pre- and post-war low-rise housing. It involved consultion with the community regularly throughout the 8-year period of regeneration, following initial agreement on our masterplan for the area. The houses are spacious and well-insulated; this project illustrates well the physical and financial benefits of long-term partnering in social housing.
