In the practice’s first major project, located on the ‘inner periphery’ of Perth, we planned and piloted the first three phases of the estate’s regeneration of 250 dwellings, including 36 new-build dwellings. The project was very successful, gathering many awards, including Civic Trust and Europa Nostra.  In the words of the Housing Co-operative, Fairfield is “one of Perth’s real success stories… it was one of the most deprived housing estates in Europe, now it is one of the most coveted.”  More recently, we designed five new ‘Lade-side’ houses, handed over in 2004, modernised a tenement in 2005, completed in 2006, six new Eco Homes were completed in 2007, and seven more will follow later in 2008.  The contractor for the last two projects is Clachan Construction of Perth.
