The Petersburn project, to replace a whole estate of unpopular 1960s housing, was for some time the largest social housing volume procurement project in Scotland. Our client, the Link Group, set up a dynamic partnering team, with CCG (Scotland) Ltd. as contractor. Started on site in 2003, it meant 280 houses in 3 years, and each phase was been on budget and on programme: the project has been praised widely, not least in the Scottish Parliament. The houses, all in low-rise terraces, have high space and amenity standards, and this once difficult-to-let estate has been put back on its feet.
