Having completed a successful extensive remodeling of a early Victorian villa, for the same client, in the 1990’s Richard Hands was appointed to design the compete interior remodeling, external works and extension to an early Victorian House in a sensitive location in an Islington conservation area. This involved difficult negotiations with the planning department to achieve the desired proposals to which the planners were initially opposed. The client returned to commission Richard to produce a design for a steel and glass bridge to connect the main sitting room to the garden.
